Learning Transfer Award

Be recognised – Applications now open!

Each year before our national conference and expo, we are invite applications for our ILP Learning Transfer Award.

This award is open to any individual, team or organisation, including external consultants and client teams.

The training initiative must have been implemented within the last two years.

Award Winners

The Learning Transfer Award has three levels – Platinum, Gold and Finalist.  Depending on the quality and number of application there may be more than one Gold Award winner and more than one Finalist.

Platinum and Gold winners will be presented with an Optical Crystal Trophy and Finalists will be issued with a ‘Finalist’ certificate.

Award Process

Step 1           

Submission
Submission deadline is 15 July, 2011.  Entries must be provided using the Award Submission template.  There is an entry fee of $55 (including GST).

Step 2 Short Listing 
 A shortlist of finalists will be decided by 22 July, 2011.  All submissions will be assessed by an independent panel of judges, who allocate points according to a pre-determined set of criteria. 

Step 3

 

Selection of Platinum and Gold Winners  
Step 4 Finalists notified
All the finalists will be notified by 23 July, 2011.
 
Step 5Awards Presented
Awards will be presented at the ILP Conference & Awards Dinner being held at the Royal Pines Resort, Gold Coat on Thursday 28 July, 2011 starting at 7.00pm.

Award nominees will be required to respond to the following seven questions:

  1. What was the need outlined by your client? What operational results did the client want to achieve?
  2. What did you do to investigate the learning needs?  What did you discover?
  3. What did you do to investigate the workplace environment in which participants would have to apply their learning?  What did you discover?
  4. Describe the training solution that was developed and how it was it implemented?
  5. What did you do to proactively influence transfer of learning?  How was application of learning in the workplace encouraged and supported?
  6. What were the direct outcomes (short and long term for the organisation/client and the learning) of the training initiative?
  7. How did you measure these outcomes?

General Rules

  • Entries must include the Registration form, supporting material (where relevant) and entry fee of $55 (including GST).  Incomplete submissions will not be judged.
  • All claims must be substantiated.
  • No submissions will be accepted after 5pm on Friday 15 July, 2011.
  • The judges’ decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • Entries and supporting evidence will not be returned so please keep a copy of your entry.
  • All entries and evidence will remain strictly confidential to the judges.
  • The cost of attending the Conference and Awards dinner is $85 (including GST).
  • Finalists or a representative are required to attend the Award presentation to accept their Award.
