Professional Development

We offer a range of programs at discounted prices that are designed to help learning practitioners:

continue their development and stay at the forefront of the latest techniques and processes in learning, and
refresh their knowledge and skills of foundation and advanced training and facilitation skills.

An important need for learning practitioners is the opportunity to network with like-minded professionals. We offer regular networking events in each state which include short professional development sessions. These events are available to members at discounted rates. Non-members are welcome. Our events are offered on a national and state basis, with activities in each state reflecting local interests and needs.

Discounted Accreditations

Members get a discounted rate on our accreditation programs, which are exclusively offered by the Institute. All of the products have a successful track record in producing significant benefits for clients, both internal and external.

Member Status

Membership of a professional institute conveys an important message to employers and clients. ILP members (excluding Associates) have the right to use the ILP logo on their website and/or business cards. In addition, members can use the post-nominals: ILPM (Member) and ILPF (Fellow).

Free Advertising

Members can promote their products, services and events to other learning practitioners on the ILP Notice Board.

Professional Profile on ILP Website (Fellows only)

Fellows can display their professional profile on the ILP website as well as have the opportunity to join our client database for broader exposure.

In association with Parmia Insurance, we are able to offer our members best value Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance, specifically developed for learning practitioners. Our premiums for Professional Indemnity ($5M) + Public Liability ($10M) start from $490 (revenue under $250,000). Not available to Associate Members.

Learning Resources

ILP Members receive a 10% discount on all resources from HRD Central (discount must be requested at the time of ordering to be eligible).
